Tour Plan
Day 1: Cusco – Lares – Huacahuasi (Cultural Experience & First Trekking Day)
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up from Cusco. We travel through scenic valleys and mountain landscapes towards the Lares region, passing traditional Andean villages along the way.
After a 3-hour drive, we arrive at Lares, known for its natural hot springs. Here, you will have the option to relax briefly before starting the trek.
The hike begins through beautiful valleys surrounded by towering mountains, where you will immediately feel the connection with nature and the Andean world.
Along the route:
- You will see alpacas and llamas grazing freely
- Meet local families dressed in traditional clothing
- Learn about ancient weaving techniques
This is one of the most authentic trekking experiences in Peru, where culture is still alive.
After approximately 4–5 hours of hiking, we arrive at Huacahuasi village, a remote Andean community.

Day 2: Huacahuasi – Ipsay Pass – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes (Adventure & Scenic Views)
This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek.
After an early breakfast, we begin a steady ascent towards the highest point of the trek: Ipsay Pass (approx. 4,400 m / 14,435 ft).
During the hike:
- Enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks
- Pass near glacial lakes such as Ipsaycocha
- Observe wild Andean landscapes untouched by tourism
Reaching the pass is a truly unforgettable moment, offering one of the best views of the entire trek.
After reaching the summit, we begin the descent through a stunning valley until reaching the end of the trekking route.
We then travel by vehicle to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns.
Here, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying a scenic ride through the Sacred Valley alongside the Urubamba River.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco (The Grand Finale)
The final day begins early to make the most of your visit to the incredible Machu Picchu.
We take one of the first buses up to the citadel to witness the sunrise over the mountains (weather permitting).
